Why couples choose the UAE
Best time to get married in the UAE
Where in the UAE?
The UAE offers three distinct wedding destinations — each with its own character:
Dubai is iconic, glamorous and urban. It is the choice for couples who want the Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab, the skyline and the energy of one of the world's most exciting cities. A wedding in Dubai signals ambition and style. The venue choice here is unmatched anywhere in the world — from beachfront Palm resorts to desert estates and rooftop ballrooms overlooking the Burj Khalifa. A destination wedding in Dubai is consistently the most Instagram-worthy of any destination.
Abu Dhabi is more refined, more exclusive and more understated than Dubai. Emirates Palace — one of the most magnificent wedding venues anywhere on earth — sets the tone for what a luxury wedding in Abu Dhabi offers. The corniche, Yas Island and the city's quieter grandeur make it the choice for couples who want world-class luxury without the spotlight. Bonvera is based in Abu Dhabi — this is our home market and we know every venue and vendor here personally.
Ras Al Khaimah has emerged as the UAE's most exciting wedding destination for couples who want something different. Desert mountains, beaches, wide open landscapes and significantly more accessible pricing than Dubai or Abu Dhabi — a wedding in Ras Al Khaimah offers a genuinely unique setting. Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island are among the most extraordinary properties in the region. Indian wedding bookings in RAK grew by 23% in 2025.

What most planners don't tell you
- We are based in Abu Dhabi
Bonvera is not planning UAE weddings from a distance. We have a presence in Abu Dhabi, know the venues personally and work with trusted local vendors across all three Emirates. This makes a significant difference to planning quality, negotiation and on-ground execution.
- Ras Al Khaimah is the new destination to watch
RAK has been quietly building some of the most extraordinary resort properties in the region. Waldorf Astoria RAK sits against dramatic Hajar mountain scenery — a backdrop unlike anything in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Indian wedding bookings here grew 23% in 2025 as couples discovered it offers international luxury at a more accessible price.
- Abu Dhabi offers complimentary visas for Indian wedding couples
The Abu Dhabi government currently offers complimentary visas for Indian couples hosting their destination wedding in Abu Dhabi as part of a tourism initiative. This reduces the visa cost burden for large guest lists significantly. We advise on this as part of our planning.
- Indian wedding vendors in UAE are exceptional
The UAE has a large and experienced Indian wedding vendor community. Decorators who understand mandap setups, caterers specialising in Indian cuisine, makeup artists experienced in bridal looks across all Indian traditions — all are well established here. This is one of the UAE's great strengths.
- Dubai and Abu Dhabi peak season books up fast
November to March is the UAE's wedding season. Emirates Palace, Atlantis and One & Only fill up many months in advance for peak dates. For December and January weddings, start planning 12-18 months ahead.
- The hospitality standard is genuinely world-class
UAE five-star hospitality is consistently ranked among the best in the world. Your guests will be looked after at a level that very few destinations can match. For couples whose priority is that every guest feels extraordinary — the UAE delivers this reliably.
